(More customer reviews)I bought this Tissot watch for myself at the same time that I bought my wife's Tag Heuer.her Tag is great, but my Tissot stopped working one month after the warranty expired.I sent it back to Tissot (I disovered that they are actually owned by the Swatch group) expecting that it needed a simple battery replacement.Boy was I shocked to get their estimate for a $180 service! I called them to ask that the battery be changed first to see if that would get it going.The rep told me that they had examined the watch and that it needed their general service, in which moving parts are checked, lubed, blah, blah, for $180.I persisted with my requests to get them to just try a new battery but they refused.In the end, I asked them to return the watch to me.I took it to a local watch shop and guess what -- all it needed was a new battery.This cost me 9 bucks and I was back in business.Now the spring winder has fallen out of the watch.I'll go back to my local watch shop to see if this can be fixed.The construction of this watch is very disappointing.Worse still, Tissot/Swatch seems to be scamming their customers by insisting that returned watches need their expensive service, when in fact all mine needed was a battery.I'll never buy another Tissot or Swatch watch.
