Flawless function with amazing accuracy, I have not had to correct the time once in a year!
The glowing tritium makes it possible to tell time anywhere. Show it to your friends and they say, "big deal, all watches glow in the dark." Yes they do but this one will glow in the dark for 25 years and not fade to unreadability in a few minutes as does worthless luminous paint.
Make sure that you buy the version (this one I believe) that has the tritium capsule on the second hand, some do not. I purchased one such Luminox and returned it for this one which does.
The glowing tritium on your wrist can give away your presence in complete darkness from about 10 feet. It is waterproof of course and has been unaffected by various jolts and drops during the time I've owned it. The rubber wrist band makes the watch light enough to sleep with, there is a stainless band available. I don't trust the plastic case Luminoxes, even though they are half the price. It makes sense to pay the extra money and get something made out of metal as is this one.
Drawbacks: too casual to wear for more formal settings especially with the rubber strap, might be semi-acceptable with the ss band
