(More customer reviews)This is a fantastic timepiece. It uses the advanced ETA 2897 movement. It is much more accurate than the cheaper and more standard ETA 2824-2 movement. The power reserve meter is accurate and functions great. The watch is not too heavy nor does it bulge off the wrist too much, this combined with the sapphire crystal face pretty much ensures you wont scratch or smash your timepiece easily.
I was very wary of getting scammed and getting a fake watch (pretty much ALL 'discount' Tissot watches sold on that popular auction site are fake, no matter what the seller says, no matter what warranty cards he gives, its all BS). I was relieved that when I called the company, (I bought it here on Amazon but the seller was WatchZone) they picked up immediately and sounded like they knew what they were doing, after they confirmed stock I went ahead and placed order through Amazon. The watch was in fact real (I did A LOT of research to confirm this).
Since neither Amazon nor any online retailer are authorized Tissot dealers (trust me, if they tell you otherwise, they are lying, check tissot's official website for a list of authorized dealers) you do not get a Tissot warranty. This is not a problem since just about every shop will give you a store warranty for 1-3 years where they replace or repair your watch. This isnt a huge concern since the engineering in these is so superb that if it works on day 1 it will work 50 years from now unless you do something to it yourself.
Time accuracy on my watch is +/- 1 second a day. it most loses .5 to 1 second daily. One thing I like about setting the time is that it has a stop second mechanism when the crown is pulled out (sorry I forgot the proper term for this) so you can set the time exactly and to the second.
There is not much else to say about this watch, it is reserved, classy, elegant and simply made excellently. It uses a great movement that is commonly found in watches 5-10x the price of this one. Tissot has a long and rich history, you are getting quality here. This watch may not get you compliments from the average joe you work with, but to those who know, they know ;)
